Casa das Histórias Paula Rego by Eduardo Souto de Moura

The Casa das Histórias Paula Rego was designed by the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura. The building makes use of certain aspects of the region’s historical architecture, which is here reinterpreted in a contemporary way. It can be immediately recognized thanks to its two pyramid-shaped towers and the red-colored concrete used in its construction.

Torre del Homenaje / Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas

The ” Torre del Homenaje” or “Tribute Tower” is an enigmatic architectural piece by Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas  that historically has been used as a defensive tower. During the year 2000 the Government of Andalusia chose to proceed with a task that would recuperate the tower’s amazing nature and restore its double capacity as watch tower and a point of interest.
