In the heart of Beijing’s Shouchuang Langyuan Station Park, where the echoes of industrial history resonate through time-worn red brick warehouses, the new headquarters of ROSEMOO emerges with innovative design and cultural reverence. The park, once a bustling textile warehouse complex from the 1970s, now serves as the backdrop for an architectural transformation designed by Cui Shu in collaboration with ROSEMOO.

Preserving Industrial Heritage
The original layout and structure of the warehouses have been meticulously preserved, paying homage to the industrial past while paving the way for contemporary creativity. ROSEMOO’s headquarters seamlessly integrates office spaces, reception areas, and showrooms, creating a multifunctional hub that reflects the brand’s ethos and Eastern philosophical influences.
Sculptural Volumes and Spatial Superposition
Cui Shu’s design philosophy shines through in the distinctive volumes crafted within and around the building. By employing deconstruction and stacking techniques, two prominent structures emerge, both sculptural and functional. A horizontally suspended rectangular volume acts as a dynamic traffic box, facilitating movement within and outside the building. This is complemented by vertically inserted hollow cylindrical volumes, which lend an air of grandeur and serve as multifunctional exhibition halls and meeting spaces. The surrounding open office areas foster a modern and efficient working atmosphere, ensuring seamless connectivity between different functional zones.
A Journey Through Sequence and Elevation
The spatial narrative of the ROSEMOO headquarters unfolds through a sequence of carefully designed transitions. Visitors are guided from the entrance through a narrow corridor, descending into a grand, open indoor space. This descent evokes the ceremonial ambiance of a classical music hall, adding a sense of gravitas to the arrival experience. Ascending the stairs leads to the reception tea room on the second floor, offering a serene vantage point. The sunken circular space on the first floor enhances the spatial dynamics, creating an intimate yet expansive environment.
The Dance of Light and Shadow
ROSEMOO’s commitment to natural aesthetics is reflected in the choice of materials and the interplay of light and shadow within the headquarters. The design incorporates vertical and horizontal bar-shaped windows and skylights, allowing natural light to permeate the interior. This thoughtful arrangement creates a harmonious contrast between brightness and darkness, with key lighting and soft diffuse light sculpting the space. The pristine white walls and weathered red bricks are adorned with tree shadows, weaving a poetic narrative that celebrates the fusion of nature and time.
A Tribute to Tradition and Modernity
The new headquarters is a testament to the ROSEMOO brand, embodying the spirit of Eastern philosophy and modern design. It honors nature and tradition through its spatial layout and meticulous handling of light and materials. This multifunctional creative space not only serves as an inspirational workplace but also stands as a cultural landmark within the Langyuan Station Park. It breathes new life into the city’s industrial heritage, creating a vibrant and harmonious environment that transcends time and space.
