French Architecture

French Architecture refers to various architectural styles developed and used in France throughout history. It includes Gothic cathedrals, Renaissance symmetry and proportion, Baroque ornate decoration, Neoclassical inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman architecture, and more modern Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and modernist styles. In the 19th and 20th centuries, French architecture continued to evolve, with the emergence of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles and the development of modernist architecture, seen in buildings such as the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Louvre Pyramid.
