BAAQ’ | J. Alfonso Quiñones is a Mexico City-based architecture studio founded in 2011 by architect Alfonso Quiñones. The practice focuses on creating architecture that blends modern design principles with a strong sensitivity to context and inhabitant experience. It emphasizes harmony with the site, questioning existing environmental and social relationships to imagine utopian ideals within everyday life. Quiñones and his team gained early recognition, receiving an Honorable Mention at the 2012 Mexican Architecture Biennial, and have been involved in significant regional collaborations, including serving as the local associate architect for both Casa Wabi (invited by Tadao Ando in 2012) and the Clay Pavilion project by Álvaro Siza in 2016.
