Timeless Traditions and Contemporary Aesthetics

The Muaré Hotel is a sanctuary that embraces and transmutes restless minds. It serves as a haven for transient souls, providing the ideal refuge to either calm the mind or spark inspiration, fostering the development of ideas, aspirations, and dreams. Muaré is a boutique hotel that immerses its guests in nature, offering unique relaxation experiences. Its gardens, bodies of water, fragrances, and sounds create in the visitor a sense of profound connection.

The architectural design includes 26 rooms, cleverly arranged within circular and nonagonal structures. Each room is nestled within a palapa – a traditional Mexican shelter – with 60 and 45-degree angles. This design choice simplifies the facilities without sacrificing privacy or visual delight towards the gardens and water bodies.

The architectural style harks back to Central American cultures, marrying them with the present by using contemporary design solutions mixed with locally sourced, low-impact materials such as stone and wood. The aim is to blend seamlessly with the surroundings, to be a part of the natural context of the Mayan jungle, and to age gracefully alongside it.

The interior design is intricately connected to the regional craftsmanship techniques. Elements such as chukum (vegetable resin), henequen, carpentry, and various types of natural weaving create a luxurious experience that harmonizes perfectly with the different shades of white. This fusion of timeless tradition and modernity makes the Muaré Hotel an unforgettable journey into tranquility and creative inspiration.
