Plasticrete was a Hamden, Connecticut concrete products manufacturer founded by Ciro Paolella in the 1940s, evolving from the Hamden Building Tile Company into a major regional supplier of concrete masonry units. The company is best remembered in architectural circles for producing the first fluted, corduroy-style concrete profile block in the United States, developed in collaboration with architect Paul Rudolph.
