Glulam

Glulam, short for glued laminated timber, is an engineered wood product made by bonding multiple layers of dimensional lumber together with durable, moisture-resistant adhesives. Developed in the early twentieth century, it offers high strength-to-weight performance, dimensional stability, and the ability to span long distances or form curved shapes that solid timber cannot achieve. Architects favor glulam for its expressive structural language, carbon-storing credentials, and warm aesthetic, using it in residential interiors, sports halls, bridges, churches, and large-scale public buildings where sustainability and craft meet contemporary engineering.
