Beste Aykut is an architect, designer, artist, and educator based in New York City. Raised between Germany and Turkey, she studied at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Tokyo, and completed her studies at Pratt Institute. She has previously worked across the globe with renowned offices, including Kengo Kuma & Associates, Toyo Ito & Associates, and Snarkitecture, and currently leads large-scale projects contributing to New York’s evolving skyline. Her previous work was included in the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, “How will we live together?”. Beyond her architectural practice, Beste’s genre-bending photography has been shown internationally in solo exhibitions, bridging the two-dimensional and spatial worlds.
