German Architecture refers to the architecture of Germany, which has a rich and diverse history spanning from prehistoric times to the present day. It encompasses a wide range of styles, including Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassical, Modernist, and Postmodernist, among others. Some of the most significant architectural movements that have originated in Germany include the Bauhaus, which was a major influence on modernist architecture in the 20th century, and the Expressionist movement, which emerged in the early 20th century and was characterized by its use of bold, abstract forms and dynamic shapes.
