Location and Structure
Located in the picturesque surroundings of Valle de Bravo, the Tiny House rises elegantly on a platform supported by a metallic structure. This elevation not only provides stability but also forms a terrace, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the forested landscape.
With a construction area of just 120 m², the design had to be meticulously planned. The limited space was utilized efficiently, prioritizing the public area while ensuring the bedroom area, though minimal, remained comfortable. Innovative use of height allowed for bunk beds in the bedrooms, which are separated by an intermediate bathroom to enhance privacy. Interior Layout
A key feature of the Tiny House is the elongated piece of furniture that functions as both storage and a room divider. This piece seamlessly integrates the private and public areas, creating a fluid transition that enhances the sense of openness. The roof’s design, which slopes towards the forest view, enables a double-height terrace that extends the living space outdoors, blending the interior with the natural surroundings.
The house’s walls are constructed from heat-treated wood staves anchored to the metal structure. These staves, used on both sides of the wall, are complemented by interior thermal insulation, ensuring the house remains well-insulated against the climate of Valle de Bravo. The staves are designed to facilitate quick assembly, allowing the project to be completed swiftly.
A large window, paired with a floating ceiling, allows natural light to flood the interior, making the spaces feel larger and more open. The materials chosen for the house harmonize with the natural environment, ensuring the structure complements rather than competes with the landscape.
